Today was “Work Day” at Junior’s pre-school. That means that a whole lot of parents gather themselves and all manner of gardening/home chore tools and spend 5 or 6 hours fixing up the joint. In other words, we do for our beloved school what most of us neglect to do at our own homes!
While Mark and Junior voted for taking the car this morning, I suggested that we take our bikes, despite the need to carry a couple of saw horses, rakes, industrial sized extension cords, and….most important….coffee for the parents.
Level-headedness and common sense prevailed… we biked. We weren’t alone in our use of two-wheeled transportation, but we were the only family on long bikes. I think that won’t be the case for long, now that our parenting friends are starting to see just what we can do with these long-bike wonders!
